Three score and ten

Happy 70th Birthday, Larry!

This is my favorite recent picture of Gpappy/Larry/Dad. The youngest kid (Westy) watching the oldest kid (Larry) go flying down the roller slide.  I'd still have bruises if I'd taken that ride, but thanks to Westy's coaching, Gpappy/Larry/Dad came through it just fine. If you're searching for deeper meaning in this photograph, it's there. The years have flown by, but life still can be fun for us old folks.
***********
St. Peter and Otown were well represented on Sunday  for G/L/D's birthday lunch, but we missed the NC contingent. Happily for us, they called later in the afternoon.

The MN cousins showed their teamwork delivering gifts to Gpappy.

The little boys sang "Happy Birthday" at various times, adding in the necessary cha-cha-chas, hiiii-yas, and nah-nah-nahs. Not necessarily in tune, but sung with enthusiasm and with love.

Happy Birthday, Larry. Now let's hear the significance of three score and ten!
