No cohesive story to tell about the weekend, partly because it's not over yet... but here are a few pictures from yesterday's trip to visit Don and Janet at their new place in Forest Lake. Mike, Amber, Kasey, and Allie were there, and I hope Annie has some pictures of them because my camera didn't get used much--nearly all of my pictures from the day are in this blog.
After lunch Don took some cautious short people out for a ride on the pontoon boat. Owen checked for sharks while Miles watched out for pirates.
Annie gave Ethan and Miles the scoop on being sailors.
Owen and Annie waved to a goose flying over the lake.
Even when the pontoon was docked, it provided sailing practice for
little guys and a quiet place to talk for former tooth-brushing buddies.

Back on dry land, Tanner and Westy had some one-on-one time.
Westy tried to lure his daddy into the play yard, but Tanner resisted...for a while.
But Westy finally convinced him to climb in.
And then look what happened!
That's about it for Forest Lake photos. Thanks to Don and Janet for a great afternoon, yummy food, and a fun boat ride!

On the return trip to St. Peter, we stopped at Union Hill so Larry
could show Angie the original site of Gustavus Adolphus College,
first known as St. Ansgar's Academy.
He also took a side trip through Belle Plaine to show her the fabled
two-story outhouse. Angie was impressed --- and not in a good way!
Now it is Sunday, and the change in the weather makes it feel like October. No more 90's please!

It was definitely a fun day. Let's do it again! Except maybe take a shorter route home...for Angie's sake :)
There's so much to enjoy in your photos, Jill. A good time was had by all, it seems. I have to wonder if that is Westy's "usual and customary" facial expression as it's the one he's used A LOT lately. Good thing it's a keeper :)
