This Mom's Day was extra special because I got to hug all three of my children today...something I haven't done in many years on Mother's Day. It's not because they won't let me hug them, but rather because Elisabeth hasn't been in the vicinity and today she was! To add to the pleasure, there were hugs from Angie and Tanner, too, and kisses for Miles, Ethan, and Owen. If only Evan and Hannah had come to MN with Elisabeth, it would have been perfect. The weekend was busy and emotional. We're all so happy that little Ethan was sprung from the Special Care Nursery on Saturday. On his subsequent visits to see Owen, he's undoubtedly been sharing the inside scoop about life on the outside. Owen, keep working hard so you can go home soon, too.Another comment for Owen: Although Auntie Elisabeth is well-educated and professional, you might be surprised at what she made Ethan do when your parents were out of the room. Here's the evidence. Beware of Auntie Beesie!
Elisabeth, juggling Ethan
Owen, unaware of his brother's peril!
Happy Mother's Day to Angie (first timer X 2!), to Annie, and to Elisabeth. And Elisabeth, thank you for coming to meet the new babes and sharing your medical expertise with all of us. You make a great salad, too!
