It's a little late in the birthday day for Larry/ Dad/ Paco/ Grandpappy, so my apologies for not announcing your special day earlier. We were on the road to Rochester this a.m. to meet GGpa Charlie at Pannekoeken for an early lunch. GGpa was in great form and full of humor. After lunch we did a little drive around the Silver Lake area of Rochester. The temptation to get out and walk a bit was thwarted by drizzly weather and abundant goose poop in the park by the lake.
Thanks to Miles, Annie, and Tanner for letting us invite ourselves for supper. Everything tasted great, from Tanner's grilling to the birthday brownies for dessert. We picked up Miles around 2:45 from Kids Korner, and he jabbered all the way home about semis, trucks, a police car, and honking. Honk comes out "hOHnk" with the word "oh" in it. Miles sang "Happy Birthday" to his grandpappy, a version of which should appear on YouTube, right Annie?
A call from Hannah to sing "Happy Birthday" and another from Charlie to mock his father's age (and then offer his good wishes) rounded out the evening. Dad thanks you!
I was able to get tickets for Jerry Seinfeld on November 13 for as a gift for Larry/ Dad/ Paco/ Grandpappy after a great deal of wrestling with Ticketmaster. Can't wait to see Seinfeld perform again!
Only three birthday hours left, so Happy Birthday to YOU, Larry! 124
