In need of a grandchild fix

Miles was here for a couple of hours this afternoon to play. We're not proud of ourselves for resorting to grandchild snatching to get him here, and we apologize to Grandma Doreen and Grandpa Dave for our boldness in doing so. Okay, so we didn't actually take him forcibly from his Grimmius grandparents, but we did whine and cry to Annie to put in a good word for us with them so we could see him while he spends a couple of days with Dave and Doreen. For the benefit of Tanner, who is on a work trip, here are some pictures:

Miles used markers to do some artwork. The best part for him was removing the marker tops and saying "Pop!" each time.

The doctor kit was next on Miles' list. He looks good in a stethoscope.
Time to clean up. First, the caballo.
Miles washed the ottoman next.

Next stop was the playground adjacent to First Lutheran Church, a favorite spot for Hannah and Miles to play. Miles now refers to it as the parque, a little Spanish influence from Hannah. Several times when he wanted to be lifted up to get on a platform to go down a slide, he pointed and said "alla´" (I can't get the accent mark over the "a".) Hannah, your multilingualism is rubbing off on Cousin 'Milio. Sorry there are no pictures other than the one I sent to Tanner from my cell phone.

After the park, it was time to read. I offered Miles several book choices, but he said no, and picked up something with a little more substance.
We talked about the babies and about Hannah, and Miles concluded that he missed them. And, he missed Putter, too, so now he's back playing with the puppy! It was a short but sweet visit. Thanks for coming over to play, Miles!
