No, the title doesn't mean that worker-mans showed up and only pretended to work. Rather, we had worker-mans of the short and creative variety who did some major construction on the sunroom kitchen after preschool yesterday.

They accomplished what they set out to do, then announced that they were done and that Grandpappy would be responsible for cleaning up. Apparently they've heard how much of the clean-up role he's taken on in the real kitchen remodel. Ha!
We're actually on schedule for the real kitchen, but we could be further along had there not been a hitch (and/or a glitch) with the stove hood. A part is missing, preventing Jeff the carpenter from finishing his work installing it until sometime next week, which delays the Bill the electrician's work. That will put us behind at least two days.
I've unpacked a few boxes to begin reorganizing cupboards and drawers, but until the countertops are installed and Bill the electrician finishes his work, I need to wait patiently for the next round of sawdust clean-up.
Day 10 will be on Monday.
Nice dinner and conversation with CP, APP, EP, and OP at El Agave this evening. Before meeting C and A at the restaurant, E and O told us the rules for eating there. Say please and thank you, eat your food, no running, no talking loud, no turning around and staring at other people who are eating. We did our best to be good patrons.

P.S. to Miles: Thank you for the phone call last night after you went with your family to the Otown library to see Pete the Cat author Eric Litwin. Groovy! He's a favorite of all your cousins, too. I especially appreciated the facts you shared with me about the author, especially that he's a "recovering teacher." I can relate to that!
